Excitement//theSPIRIT

I'M SO EXCITED

after playing a lot of phone tag with Ms. Andy from USF a representative from my high school was able to get into contact with her. I have not been rejected from USF, but it sounds like they are going to refer me to one of their smaller campuses so that I tranfer to their main campus later. Well... to be honest, this was a bummer. UNTIL I started looking up information about St. Pete and then i realized it has EVERYTHING that I need!

FIRST - it is a smaller campus (3,700 students enrolled) which means I will have be in smaller more community like classrooms which will be a FANTASTIC (what enthusiasm) transition for me from my beloved Oak Hall- though this made me worried, is it a communter school? will I be sitting in my dorm on the weekends by myself blogging to the world about how bored and miserable I am?
SECOND - Freshman are required to live on campus, when I read this on their web page I literlary thought, "yes they HAVE TO STAY!"
THIRD - I don't know anyone at or going to USF St. Pete, so I will be having my OWN college experience away form my family, away from friends, completely out of my comfort zone.

Three is a nice number :) so I'll leave it at that...
I recieved the letter about an hour ago. I will be attending the Univserity of South Florida at their St. Pete campus in the summer of 2009. (excitement rises)

Isn't it interesting how you THINK you know what is best for you - and then suddenly, a situation arises and you think, 'wow bummer...' because its not what you expeceted - then, at close examination of the decision you've been presented, the obvious choice is something that you never even condsidered before. These senarios make it quite obvious, the Spirit is working.

"37 If you love your father or mother more than you love me, you are not worthy of being mine; or if you love your son or daughter more than me, you are not worthy of being mine. 38 If you refuse to take up your cross and follow me, you are not worthy of being mine. 39 If you cling to your life, you will lose it; but if you give up your life for me, you will find it." Matthew 10:37-39

I truely believe that I am making the right decision
